My biggest fear when I go running outside is that I will discover a dead body. This has not yet happened to me but I feel like it is exactly the kind of thing that will. What do you do if you find a body? Do you call 911? These are the thoughts that fill my weary head when its time to run.
Things have not been going particularly well since starting this blog. I’ve been ill and injured a lot. Been experiencing a lot of fatigue and I’ve had to take time off work. Needless to say, exercise has not been my main priority. But after a couple of B12 shots I’m back in business.
I’m two weeks into getting physically and mentally healthy. I spent some time reading Matt Frazier’s book, No Meat Athlete, and am following his guide to running a 5k marathon. It is a 10-week program that I’m following that has me running about every other day. I’m doing this alongside Diamond Dallas Page’s (yeah, that right) DDP Yoga workouts on the days when I’m not running. I believe this will work for me.
I’m still working on a running playlist and really loving this song to kick things off.
For a week I ate nothing but recipes from Brendan Brazer’s Thrive Energy Cookbook. That is some good food! I highly recommend the Avocado Black Bean Burger. A smoothie is great in the morning but I found myself falling back asleep on the couch until I got some coffee in me.
I’ve been feeling really motivated lately and started writing for www.alternativenation.net. I’m a big fan of their site and was thrilled that they published an article I wrote on the Top 10 Overlooked Dave Navarro Songs.
I was even more thrilled when Dave retweeted the article and shared it on his Facebook fan page. So thanks Dave!
